On Valentine’s Day, Meredith and Jaye were expecting company in the afternoon. So in the morning they decided to whip up some double-chocolate Cookie Monster cupcakes for the occasion.

Jaye’s 2nd birthday was on February 17th, 2013; however, due to scheduling conflicts Meredith and Michael decided to host the family party one week earlier on Sunday, February 10th.
Both families were fully represented and Meredith had the house decorated “to the nines”. Jaye had requested a birthday cake in the shape of the Sesame Street character, Elmo, and Meredith came through with a spectacular looking and delicious tasting replica. Jaye and her cousins, Will and Ben, nibbled on pizzas for appetizers before digging into Elmo for the main course.
Jaye received wonderful presents – clothes, books, toys – but the biggest surprise for all the children came when they were led down to the recreation room that Meredith and Michael had filled with balloons! They searched for and found coins hidden in the balloons and had a great time making up their own games.
