Early Wednesday morning, May 1st, Margaret-Ann and John left Brampton for the hour-and-a-half drive to Niagara-On-The-Lake for their annual spring trip to the Shaw Festival. They arrived just in time to check into the La Toscana di Carlotta bed and breakfast and meet up with friends, Jan and Peter, before heading to the Festival Theatre to catch the matinee performance of “Guys And Dolls”. After the musical, they dined at the Charles Inn.
On Thursday Margaret-Ann and John saw a matinee performance of “Major Barbara” at the Royal George Theatre, met friends Sue and Ron for dinner at Zee’s Restaurant, then attended an evening performance of “Our Betters” again at the Royal George Theatre.
During their stay, John woke early each day and went for a long walk – taking pictures along the way. Roll the cursor over the pictures below to read the captions. Click on a picture to enlarge it, then click on the back arrow button in the top left to return to the blog.
After two wonderful days, sunny and 22 – 24 degrees, Margaret-Ann and John headed back home… just another excellent adventure!
