Niagara-on-the-Lake

On Saturday, April 24th, Margaret-Ann and I headed off for our annual spring trip to the Shaw Festival in Niagara-on-the-Lake. We’ve been making this trip every spring for about thirty-five years now, to celebrate Margaret-Ann’s birthday. We met up with Sue and Ron and Jan and Peter at the Moffat Inn and walked to the Festival Theatre to catch a matinee performance of Oscar Wilde’s “An Ideal Husband”… a very good play! After theatre, the six of us sipped on a couple of bottles of wine in our room at the Moffat Inn before  heading off to Tony Deluca’s new restaurant on Old Stone Road, opposite the Jackson Triggs Winery… a very good dinner! On Sunday morning, I was up at 7:00 a.m. and went walking around the old town. It was very quiet and a light rain was falling; actually very pleasant. I returned to the Moffat Inn to wake Margaret-Ann up at 8:00 a.m., and after breakfast in town, we made our way back to Brampton. Another excellent adventure!
