On Tuesday, August 16th, Margaret-Ann and John set out for Lake Eugenia – about one-and-a-half hours northwest of Brampton, near Flesherton and on the way to Owen Sound – where Jeremy and Jennifer together with Jennifer’s parents, Bill and Karen, had rented a cottage for the week.
Arriving at the cottage, Margaret-Ann and John found a large pirate flag flying over the dock and saw Jeremy and Will, wearing a pirate bandana, paddling a canoe on the lake. Will had a great time playing and swimming in the lake, showing no fear of the water at all. Ben, on the other hand, was a little more reluctant about getting into the water.
After lunch, Margaret-Ann, John, Jeremy and Will drove into Flesherton to do some grocery shopping and on the way back took a side trip to view the scenic Eugenia Falls. Later, back at the cottage, Jeremy took Margaret-Ann and Will for a leisurely canoe trip around the lake.
After a wonderful barbequed chicken dinner, it was time for Margaret-Ann and John to return to Brampton. The end of another excellent, and very relaxing, adventure.
