Grandsons Will and Ben arrived at Margaret-Ann and John’s early Friday afternoon on July 29th… Jeremy and Jennifer dropping them off on their way to spend the night at an inn in Creemore, a little over an hour north of Brampton. The boys played for the rest of the day and after dinner, bath time and bedtime stories settled down for a good night sleep.
After Saturday morning breakfast, it was off to Professor’s Lake to feed the ducks.
After lunch and Ben’s nap, Margaret-Ann and John drove the boys to Georgetown where they picked up their Aunt Meredith and headed to the local splash pad to play in the water.
On Sunday, July 31st, it was back to Georgetown for Will and Ben to play and help with the gardening in Aunt Meredith, Uncle Michael and Cousin Jaye’s backyard.
Returning from Georgetown, there was time before dinner to load the boys in the stroller and take a short walk down to the Etobicoke Creek near Margaret-Ann and John’s house. There a couple of beavers were busy working on maintaining their dam. Then it was back to Margaret-Ann and John’s for a pizza dinner with fruit and a chocolate fondue for dessert.
Meredith, Michael and Jaye met Margaret-Ann, John and the boys at Professors Lake on Monday morning, August 1st. The ducks were expecting them and had another feast on dried bread.
Will and Ben were picked up by Jeremy and Jennifer and returned home on Monday afternoon. Margaret-Ann and John had many excellent adventures with the grandsons and look forward to their next extended visit; after having a bit of a rest!
