22 Celsius and Cloudy with Light Showers
This is the fourteenth of twenty posts documenting Margaret-Ann and John’s 2011 trip to Europe.
Started the day buying tickets for the hop-on-hop-off tour bus at the Neues Rathaus, then riding the bus to Schloss Nymphenburg where the group walked around the palace gardens. Back on the tour bus, the group saw the Königsplatz and Friedensengel (Angel of Peace monument).
After lunch, again at the Vinzenzmurr deli (great food at reasonable prices), Margaret-Ann and Sigrid went shopping (it’s in the genes) while John and Sepp spent the afternoon people-watching at Marienplatz. Later the group walked through the Viktualienmarkt (food market) then took the U-Bahn (subway) to the Englisher Garten (English Garden) and walked to the Chinesischer Turm (Chinese Tower) where Sepp and John drank German beer and listened to a Bavarian band playing some American show tunes.
Back in the Altstadt, the group dined at the Schneider Weissebräu where John had the delicious schweinebraten.
And so ended day fourteen of Margaret-Ann and John’s 2011 European trip. Keep checking the blog for more postings of this trip.
